Holy Sacraments

Pupils in Second Class are prepared each year for the Sacraments of Penance and First Holy Communion.

Fifth and Sixth Class are prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation, which is administered in Ballygarrett every second year.

Parents’ Association

The Parents’ Association is a very valuable asset to the school. Each year the school benefits from numerous activities organised by the PA such as fundraising events and fun events for the children and their families. Please see our Parents’ Association page for more information.

School Bus

The school has a bus service, which is operated by Leonard’s Coaches. Further details can be had from the school secretary.

School Books 

Under the Irish Primary School Book Scheme all core textbooks and workbooks are centrally sourced, purchased, and provided by the school to ensure equality of access for all pupils. The school selects materials that align with the Primary Curriculum, Department of Education guidance, and whole-school planning, and purchases them from approved educational suppliers using scheme funding. Books are issued to pupils at the start of the school year and remain the property of the school; pupils are expected to care for them so they can be reused where appropriate. Through this scheme, families are not required to buy standard schoolbooks, ensuring consistent and inclusive access to essential learning resources for every child.

Savings Scheme

We have operated a very successful Savings Scheme for a long number of years in conjunction with the Post-Office. Children bring in money each Tuesday. They can withdraw their savings for swimming lessons, school trips and tours and at the end of the school year. Thank you to Mrs O’Connor for managing the savings scheme.
