Acorn Class is always very busy! Here are some of the things we’ve been getting up to this year.
Here we are exploring light and shadows.
We followed instructions and made hot chocolate. Yum!
We also mixed up some batter and teacher cooked pancakes for us. We chose what toppings we put on the pancakes.
It’s not all about treats for us – we also made some bird feeders. We used nut butter to glue seeds onto toilet roll inserts and we hung them outside our classroom for the hungry birds.
We managed to get outside on the couple of dry days that we had in March. We had fun blowing giant bubbles and we planted sunflower seeds. Then we sequenced the steps of how to plant seeds by cutting and pasting pictures in the correct order.
Fine motor skills are very important so we like to work on them lots!
We don’t ignore our gross motor skills either. We work on building up our arm and leg muscles and our core strength every day as well as developing our ability to ‘cross the midline’ of our bodies.
