5th Class have entered a national competition called “Our World Awards.”
The competition is designed to raise awareness of global issues by encouraging primary school pupils to research a project of their choice.
Our class split into 3 groups and each group picked a topic that interested them
1) Climate Change affecting Polar and Savanna Regions:
This group designed and created a 3 D model which demonstrates how these areas are being affected by Climate Change.
2) Endangered Animals in Mozambique:
This group handcrafted a diorama. The landscapes and animals are handwoven from wool and felt.
3) Fair Trade:
This group worked together to create a “movie” about Fair Trade.
They wrote their own script and created some very interesting characters to illustrate how Fair Trade helps farmers in developing countries to improve their livelihoods and provide a good education for their children.
