The Macamore Wheelers Cycling Club organised a 30km charity cycle on Sunday 29th May. It was a super, fun-filled day that brought the community together to help raise funds for our new playground. Our school hosted a historic event on Tuesday 15th March. We celebrated the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising in our own unique way. John Nangle, local historian paid an enjoyable visit to the senior classes in the school this Friday. John described the life and times of Ballygarrett, Gorey and Enniscorthy during the period of the 1916 Rising. The pupils were learned all about the “Athenaeum” in Enniscorthy and the significant role played by Enniscorthy in the Rising. March 3rd Today we celebrated World Book Day in the school. All our pupils and teachers embraced the feel good factor and dressed up as their favourite character from a book/comic. We had quite an array of costumes and characters on show today. Thank you to all who dressed up and to Mrs Kehoe for organising the event. Have a look at our slideshow of the various charcaters….

Congratulations to Padráig Earl and Ciara Sharp for their winning entries in “Draw Your Life In Black & White” art competitions. Padráig won 2nd prize overall and Ciara won a highly commended award. Well done to all our students who entered the competition.

Dia daoibh! A reminder to all pupils and families that the school will be closed for mid term on February 18th & 19th. The school will also be closed for the upcoming General Election on February 26th.  

Congratulations to Emily Kirkland (6th) and Katie Johnson (5th) on their competition wins. The girls have both won prizes for their fantastic efforts in the Wexford Christmas Decoration competition and the Wexford Christmas Card competition respectively. What a brilliant achievement to have their entry chosen as one of the winners. Well done to all students who entered the competitions on behalf of our school. Maith Sibh!
