A look back on our Active School Week 2017!
Today we hosted a visit from Wexford Feíle in preparation for Feíle 2017. We had great fun displaying our skills, chatting to our Wexford and local Ballygarrett heroes. Some representatives from the local GAA and Ladies GAA club called into visit along with our past pupils to help promote the Feíle. Well done to the members of Mr Nimmo’s Chess Club who represented the school in the All Wexford Chess Team Competition on 08/02/2017. The level of interest in chess within the school continues to grow and we were delighted to have two teams represent the school in both the junior and senior competitions. Thank you to Mr Nimmo for his hard work in teaching and organising chess within the school.
We hosted Grandparents’ Day this year on February 1st, Lá Fhéile Bríde, in association with Catholic Schools’ Week! All our pupils and staff worked so hard in the previous days decorating the school and rehearsing songs, poems and dance. Our Parents Association will be running their annual Halloween Disco next Friday, October 28th. It takes place in our local GAA club. Thank you to all who help make this event such a success year after year. It begins at 6.30 pm and is a great way to kick start the mid-term break!!
