Fit For Five on Friday
New Year, New Active School Challenge!
This January we decided to incorporate ‘Wake Up, Shake Up’ into our school week. This involves the student’s using a beanbag in a number of exercises to focus on getting our whole body moving, which helps with concentration, hand-eye co-ordination and general alertness. Why not try some at home?
Also, Active Arnie is back visiting the homes of our Junior and Senior Infants. Arnie is a teddy who loves to keep active. The children are asked to include Arnie in an activity on the evening they take him home from school and then to draw a picture or write about what they did together to keep active.
