Our school hosted a historic event on Tuesday 15th March. We celebrated the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising in our own unique way. Firstly, to mark this special day we held Grandparents Morning whereby all our grandparents were invited into the school for an Irish Concert. “Maith Sibh” to all our pupils for their Irish songs, poems and music. Thank you to the P.A. for supplying all the delicious confectionery, tea and coffee for our visitors.  It was a memorable occasion for the school and local families. It was lovely to see three generations of our families witnessing our ceremony and singing “Amhrán na bhFiann” together. “Go raibh maith agaibh” to all our pupils, staff and the wider school community for making it such a memorable occasion.
