John Nangle, local historian paid an enjoyable visit to the senior classes in the school this Friday. John described the life and times of Ballygarrett, Gorey and Enniscorthy during the period of the 1916 Rising. The pupils were learned all about the “Athenaeum” in Enniscorthy and the significant role played by Enniscorthy in the Rising. Both 5th and 6th class are heading off on a walking tour of Enniscorthy on Monday 12th of March.
