Our school hosted a historic event on Tuesday 15th March. We celebrated the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising in our own unique way. John Nangle, local historian paid an enjoyable visit to the senior classes in the school this Friday. John described the life and times of Ballygarrett, Gorey and Enniscorthy during the period of the 1916 Rising. The pupils were learned all about the “Athenaeum” in Enniscorthy and the significant role played by Enniscorthy in the Rising. March 3rd Today we celebrated World Book Day in the school. All our pupils and teachers embraced the feel good factor and dressed up as their favourite character from a book/comic.
