Minister Brendan Howlin’s Visit

Monday the 22nd of February turned out to be quite a memorable one for all our 5th class students and teachers! We were delighted to welcome local Wexford T.D. and Minister, Brendan Howlin to our school today. He made a special visit to our school to sample the atmosphere and life on a normal Monday morning. He was very interested in the mock mini election that 5th class are currently running. Each of the five candidates explained  some of the local issues that are affecting our school. He asked great questions of our candidates and then answered some challenging questions from our students. He explained his job as a Minister, the electoral process and how candidates are deemed elected. Minister Howlin also complimented the school on our new play area that has been funded by the wider school community. It was a truly memorable experience for all our 5th class students.
